Puts abortion and other reproductive decisions into the Virginia Constitution and allows third-trimester abortions when a doctor says the mother’s life, physical health, or mental health is at risk, or the pregnancy is not viable.  

Opponents say the wording is broader than current law and could make it much harder for Virginia to pass future limits on abortion. 

Removes Virginia’s current ban on same-sex marriage and says two adults can marry regardless of sex, gender, or race.  

Opponents say it permanently puts a broader definition of marriage into the state constitution and does not place an explicit religious-freedom protection inside the amendment itself. 

Automatically gives voting rights back to people convicted of felonies once they are released from prison.  

Opponents say the amendment would restore voting rights as soon as someone is released from prison, even if they are still on probation or parole and have not yet completed their full sentence.
